One Self-growth Habit To Start From Today
Last month, as I had summer vacations, and they were about to end, I was thinking of a habit I can follow on a daily basis. For that, I started searching for it, but I didn't get any.
Then, suddenly I came to know about a habit from a YouTube video of Ali Abdaal, and he mentioned Journaling, as I listened to it before too, but wasn't aware of it.
So, Here I will talk about the questions everyone had about Journaling as I had before starting it.
What Is Journaling?
The answer I got after searching for it is like Writing something either in a notebook or digitally in an app. Writing something means whatever you are thinking at that time. Or even your views about an event that happened either with you or to anyone else in your circle.
Benefits Of Journaling
If you think of benefits, believe me, there is no demerit of journaling, so whatever you get will benefit you.
Journaling helps introverted people a lot as they aren't comfortable sharing their views, so they can write their thoughts and ideas. This is the big advantage of journaling.
Journaling helps clear your thoughts and ideas because we have many things in our minds. So, as we write down them, we can organize our thoughts too.
Journaling also helps in planning your life throughout, as it gives you a habit of writing, so you would forget points.
Writing something daily can help you evaluate or check your progress by reading your note month before and after.
What Can I Write?
When you wanna start journaling, it's the first question you have to answer. I also did a lot of research on it. Everyone tells according to them like some say there should be some questions which you should answer daily.
But, I think just take a pen, and start writing whatever ideas or thoughts are coming into your mind. Like, If you don't have any idea what to write, then write it like I don't have any idea what can I write or I don't have words now.
You can also write some of the events that have occurred, then write your views about them, and what have you learned from them.
So, clear it that there is no perfect niche for journaling, every time you have a different scenario in your mind, just follow it then.
Where Can I Write?
Two ways are there to do journaling. The first is to just take a notebook and pen, and start writing. Another is to have some notes or a journaling app like DayOne and Notion.
I am personally using DayOne since last month, and I have been enjoying using it. I would also refer you to use it as it's a cloud base, and available on iOS, Mac, and Android.

I think journaling helps everyone to heal themselves from their problems. It makes your thought processing strong. You don't fear to write coz whatever you write will belong to you only, and no one has access to your views until you give them.
